Gyanyogi Shri Nandkishore Sharda Adhyatm Kendra
A stream of selfless service that begins with the education of financially weak students and widens to food assistance, yoga, health and women's self-reliance.
Every service was born of a real need
Through the Swami Vivekanand Students' Welfare Charitable Trust and the Maa Shardamani Trust, hundreds of girls each year began to study from Class 9 up to higher education and to build their future.
After Bhaiya Shri Nandkishore Sharda left the physical body in 2003, Maa Basanti carried the work of education and service forward. In that time she saw that financial hardship was keeping not only girls but also boys from weaker families out of higher and professional education.
With that need in mind, at Jagatjanani Maa's direction the Gyanyogi Shri Nandkishore Sharda Adhyatm Kendra was founded in 2010.
Not one of the Kendra's services began from a plan. Each began from a real need of our own students and their families — this wider family — and as each need came to light, the work widened to meet it.
Support for school, higher and professional education
The Kendra's first work was the one the need pointed to first — scholarships, guidance and the support that boys in need required for school, higher and professional education. The approach to selection and the rules were kept the same as for the girls' trusts: help tied to financial need, not to marks, and no distinction of caste, religion or community.
Through it, many students studied engineering, medicine, nursing, CA, CS, MBA, BBA and other higher and professional courses, and gave their lives a new direction.
These chances let students choose a field suited to their talent and interest, build professional skill, and find a path to self-reliance.
From founding to March 2026 — ₹57 L+ in scholarship assistance, 631 boys supported.
When our own families needed a hand
During the Covid period, many families connected to the Kendra — the homes of our own students — were suddenly in financial crisis. The support for study was continuing, but arranging food at home had become hard.
In October 2020, a monthly distribution of ration supplies began with about 50 families — first for these students and their households.
As their circumstances grew stronger, many families themselves asked to step away, so that the help could reach another family in greater need. Today this service reaches nearly 300 families in need across the Jodhpur and Balotra region, month after month.
From the start to now — over ₹1.07 Cr+ worth of ration supplies distributed.
A need tied to the health of the family's daughters and women
Taking up the leadership after Maa Basanti left the physical body in 2021, Madhu Maa saw that awareness of health and self-care among the family's daughters and women mattered as much as education. She held the balance of body, mind, emotion and spirit to be a ground of empowerment.
Since 10 June 2022, free yoga classes for the public have run without a break at the Adhyatmyogi Shri Nandkishore Sharda Sadhana-Sthali — the Siddhapeeth (Kabootaron ka Chowk). Under a trained yoga teacher, subtle exercise, pranayama, asana and meditation are practised each morning from 7:15 to 8:15.
Treating health awareness as an important ground of women's empowerment, yoga camps have also been held in schools to make girls and women aware of a healthy way of life.

The Vatsalyamayi Maa Basanti Manihar Sewing Centre
The mothers and sisters of the students, and other women of connected families, needed a livelihood of their own — one they could carry with self-respect, from within the home.
The work began quietly, giving a sewing machine and support to individual women in need. In 2025 it took shape as a free sewing-training centre, in the name of Vatsalyamayi Maa Basanti Manihar.
Through free training, the centre gives women and young women a direction towards self-employment and a livelihood earned with dignity.
Where education, health, self-reliance and service meet in one stream of compassion.
A service that began from the need of a single student now flows in four streams — education, food, health and self-employment — but the feeling is one: compassion towards one's own family. At the root of every work is the same vision Bhaiyaji and Maa Basanti gave — to join self-discipline, a positive outlook and a spirit of service to daily life.
Registration & transparency
The trust is registered under sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act. Its registration documents and year-wise audited financial reports from 2019–20 onward are publicly available on the transparency page.
